Access to quality healthcare and education for all children is a basic human right.

  • To provide quality education for children with gaps in their formal education.

  • To advocate, support and fund life-saving surgeries for children.

Links’ mission is two-fold:

Kids love learning at Links Educational Center!

Hooray for life-saving medical treatment!

A little help from you can make a big difference:

All About Links’ Kids

  • Support us by buying Links’ gorgeous coffee table book! Links: Faces of the Unseen by Rakhee Dhawani is the joyful, photographic story of the children that Links Charitable Trust serves, the story of the grassroots, volunteer-run NGO itself, and the original abstract paintings by New York-raised India-based artist and co-founder of Links, Sharon Otmar.

The original photographs in this book are a much deserved and significant spark to the discussion of India’s most underserved population - internal migrants. These migrants move to Bengaluru for work and life-saving medical treatment for their children and once there, often do not have access to quality health care or education because they are not eligible for state government assistance.

The captivating, original photographs of the community and Sharon Otmar’s original abstract paintings were taken by Rakhee Dhawani. Like everything Links Charitable Trust is able to accomplish, the book was a collaboration between friends - Rakhee Dhanwani, graphic designer, Margaret Vanschaemelhout, and Sharon Otmar. All proceeds from the sale go directly to helping children with their education or quality healthcare.

Sponsor Treatment for Sahin

  • In Fall of 2023 Links began a collaboration with Sparsh Hospital to identify children for their Vachana Scheme to provide free surgeries to 200 children. Sahin SK is a 14 year boy who 6 months ago felt a small lump near his neck. Gradually the lump started growing, and the family consulted many doctors in their home state of Kolkata, but they were not able to find the cause of the lump. The family moved to Bengaluru for medical treatment for their son and the boy was referred to Links by a Munnekollal community member. Links Medical Support team assisted the family in obtaining medical reports, a biopsy and PET scan. It was revealed that Sahin has Nasopharynx cancer (a rare throat cancer). Sahin is undergoing chemotherapy in Sparsh Hospital under Vachana program free of cost. He will eventually need radiation treatment at HCG Hospital post chemotherapy.

A closer look at the migrant population in Bengaluru.

This movie, created by the talented Bighorn Studio is a snapshot into the lives of the vulnerable and resilient community Links serves. It also highlights the valuable work Links is doing everyday in the field with your donations.
