Volunteers needed for the following Teams:

Fundraising Team: Volunteers are needed to help raise money for Links. 100% of funding comes from individual and CSRs, and life-saving surgeries are not cheap. Volunteers can feel good about fundraising as 100% of donations go directly to help children and families (no administrative fees taken). For people who like to plan new and exciting events, this team is for you!

Hospital Advocacy Team: Volunteers are needed to assist patients and their families who require surgery or medical interventions in hospital settings. This includes advocating on behalf of patients with doctors and administrators at government hospitals, supporting patients throughout the entire hospital treatment process, and keeping detailed patient records. Attention to detail, tenacity, and patience are very helpful! Knowledge of Hindi, Kannada and/or Bengali useful, but not required.

Links Educational Center: Volunteers are needed to work with children ages 5-15 in Munnekollal. Links is also looking for help facilitating workshops during the Monthly Caregiver’s Meetings on various topics of concern for the community, such as health and hygiene, nutrition, child safety, substance abuse, among many others.

Healthcare Team: Volunteers are needed to work on quarterly community health and hygiene initiatives.

Administrative Team: Volunteers who have excellent administrative, computer, spreadsheet, website, and/or other skills are needed behind the scenes to keep Links running smoothly.

Outreach Team: Volunteers are needed to help connect with organizations/individuals who are doing similar work to form collaborative partnerships. Hospitals, clinics, other NGOs, government officials, etc. are all on the agenda.

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it’s not.
